Member of the British House of Lords

Lord Colin Mackenzie Low, Baron Low of Dalston, is a Member of the House of Lords, the Parliament of the United Kingdom and a Vice-Chairperson of the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) and a President of the European Blind Union. Low was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to the RNIB and disabled peoples’ rights. He was a professor at Leeds University before moving to London as a Director of the Disability Resource Team. He served as a senior research fellow at City University, in the field of Theories of Disability.
