Dr. Abu-halaweh has completed his PhD from Georgia State University, USA in 2010. His research interest focuses on the application of Machine Learning Techniques to different fields. During his PhD he conducted research in the areas of security and Bioinformatics. He is highly interested in data analysis to discover indicators, patterns and associations that may lead to better understanding of the issue at hand and the most contributing factors affecting it. During his research work Dr. Abu-halaweh developed algorithms and software tools that have better performance than that of other known state-of-art tools. Currently Dr. Abu-halaweh is working for Al-Quds Open University (QOU) as the head of the CIS Department and the head of the ICT research Unit. He also has a joint appointment with Georgia State University as an adjunct assistant Professor.
